Dear Partners,
in light of the level 3 heatwave alert issued by the Hungarian Government, the KELER Group, as a money and capital market infrastructure provider, hereby informs its clients of the following.
On 3 August 2026, the KELER Group held a meeting of its chief executives to discuss the electricity supply and, having reviewed Government Decree No. 118/2026. (VIII. 1.) (on measures required in the event of a significant disruption to the electricity system and an electricity supply crisis), and identified the short-term tasks that have become necessary in light of this information:
- With regard to the office building, which serves as our headquarters – in consultation with the office building management – a number of measures have been introduced which will yield significant energy savings even in the short term.
- The operating hours of the building services systems (lighting, cooling) have been reduced.
- Employers have authorised staff to work from home.
In addition to the above, the KELER Group has taken the necessary steps to ensure business continuity; as part of this, we have assessed the condition of the generators at certain sites and are liaising with the BM OKF regarding the detailed rules of the rotational power cut scheme (RKR).
Due to KELER’s role as an infrastructure provider, it is given priority in the supply of electricity even in the event of potential power restrictions. KELER holds ISO 27001 certification, which includes compliance with the requirements for Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) planning.
If you have any questions, our colleagues are available to assist you at

Best regards,
KELER Ltd.
