KELER CCP, as a central counterparty, provides clearing and guarantee services for capital market transactions concluded on the Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE) and the MTS markets.
Capital market clearing currently operates with a stable and closed client base; no new clearing members have joined in recent years. Nevertheless, access to the service remains open, subject to the applicable regulatory and business rule conditions.
Participation requirements and regulations:
The conditions and rules for capital market clearing membership are defined in the KELER CCP General Business Rules. The following chapters are particularly relevant for establishing and maintaining a clearing membership:
- Chapter IV – General provisions (e.g. client due diligence, fees)
- Chapter V – General rules of the clearing membership system
- Chapter VI – Guarantee system and collateral requirements
Margin requirements and fees are determined based on prevailing market conditions. The Fee Schedules provide up-to-date information on applicable charges.
